Very goo February 19, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
The case looks great under the TV although poorly designed as I had to remove the case's inbuilt fan to fit the motherboard.  Seems a strange design decision to me and a problem others have experienced.
The instructions are woefully short on detail, especially in where the case wires fit to the motherboard.  Without people's comments on this page I'd have had to make a call to Xcase for guidance.
Great case but lost two stars due to having to remove the fan and the poor instructions.
I also purchased the recommended PSU and can confirm that it's very quiet and almost unnoticeable under our TV.

great case, one flaw January 24, 2013

All in all well pleased with this case - supplied PSU surprisingly quiet as well - best part is the IR switch, can cold boot from a remote. Didnt find it hard to figure out how it all connected. The case fan though needs some rethinking, its just a tad too large to fit back with an mATX board - perhaps the depth could be another 5mm. I solved it by not using the drive bays and mounting the fan over to the left - using a SSD mounted over the original fan grill. 9.5/10

XCase Q4 January 15, 2013
Reviewer: K1 from London, london United Kingdom
Nice case. Great value for money. The documentation could be better, but it is not a major issue. I got this for the remote on/off capability. The only other HTPC cases with this function are Streacom - a lot more money. The only gripe was not being able to identify what IR code set is used by the remote so that a universal remote (Harmony) or HA device can control. Would be nice to know the make of the remote or if it emulates any standard IR set - keyboard or MCE?

Excellent case December 11, 2012

The case is well built,  and functions well.
It was easy to install a mATX board,  and the supplied power supply works well and is quiet but not silent.
The front panel cables are clearly labelled,  the only thing not immediately obvious was the pass through for the main motherboard connector that allows the remote control to power on the unit. You need to connect the front panel power switch to the ir module and connect the 2 pin cable from the motherboard pass through to the ir module.
I removed the supplied chassis fan,  as it wasn't a variable speed one,  and the mb and processor didn't need extra cooling.

X-Case Tech Help September 17, 2012

A few have asked us where to put the 2nd PWR lead, This fits onto 2 prongs on the front P.C.B.

The 24 Pin Power extension Lead should also be used and the thin lead coming from this also goes on the front P.C.B
