This case is very good. I knew quite well what I was getting - Jamo’s Xcase videos are notable. Delivery was next day - quicker than anyone could want and the case was well-protected in transit. The case looks good and is of a good design. No problem fitting components. The panels are thick enough to be sturdy without making the case heavy. 3U is ideal for a recording studio recording environment as it allows a 65W or 95W i7 with sufficient but quiet cooling using a Noctua NH-D9DX. As I need a quiet computer, the 80mm case fans have been binned for noctua ones as these were noisy as (fine for a standard computer rack) I’ve disconnected the blue power LED as it is too bright. No big deal but bring back the eighties’ (red LEDs for everything) The USB header looks to be of good quality and the cables for this are long enough to reach anywhere in the case (too long if anything) Nice to see so many internal drive slots in such a short case. Also nice that there are five full height riser card slots as this allows for expansion. If continuing to be really fussy, what’d I change? The front panel display is okay - but it’d be nice to have the option to hide the fan icons for instance if running from motherboard headers. There is an audible alarm if the fans stop working during operation but thankfully this doesn’t kick in if you’ve disconnected them before power-on. (The fan icons show as static, all segments lit when no fans are connected.) There are some sharper edges on the back panel cutouts, which is really common in computer cases that haven’t been cold-rolled. I’d like to see an adapter for the two 60mm fan holes at the back to a single 80mm fan. I’ll make one. I’m pleased with this case overall though - it is a good balance of 2U convenience and 4U features. Good job Xcase.
