I was very pleased with the look and build quality, the case handles are slightly different from the picture but i think they look better. I made some adjustments to the case for water cooling and additional fans. Overall I would recommend this case and would use it again myself. If you plan on using a full height gpu you need to be aware some very high coolers will not fit and even with mine i needed special power connectors. X-case was very easy to deal with and delivery was when expected. Would deal with again.
Pretty good 3U case. One arrived with a broken screw (broken head), but still everything's ok.
It was easy to build with, the screws for the 3.5" and 5.25" drive cages are a bit deep and so need a long screw driver to access, just FYI. The case fits all the components described on it's page, so there were no surprises. I have two of these, one for a single processor AMD server and another with a dual socket Intel server. The dual socket motherboard is supposed to be ATX but is slightly deeper than ATX spec, so I could not mount the 3.5" drive cages, but that's on the motherboard. It is good to have the 5.25" drive bays as they can be easily used to mount 4,6 or even 8 2.5" drives with a suitable cage. I am using a 6 drive version from IcyDock. I was a bit sceptical about the PSU fit, since mine was a desktop PSU with top fan, but the mount actually works and the air is ****** in from the bottom, so I do not see any problem there. I would personally recommend a PSU with rear fan as suggested in the product page, but it was good to see regular desktop PSUs work as well.
I am using this case in an HTPC build in my audio rack! It is just the size i was looking for ages... Great customer support!
Pros: 1) All metal construction and the case is ******* together - so you can take it apart easily and reassemble it. 2) good size for me for a home server - I could have gone to 2U but the 3U size gives a few more options and less concern with air flow. Plenty of room for a mATX motherboard 3) Works with standard components - e.g. can use a consumer ATX power supply (with fan on side), hot swap bay converters fit correctly (too many times do standard component not fit without modifications) 4) good box of screws for fitting components Cons - All very minor: 1) case fans are a bit loud - easy to replace as they are standard size (80mm) 2) standoffs are fixed in place - not a problem really but I’d prefer to remove any I’m not using 3) nothing in the way of cable management - no clips to tuck cables out of the way Overall - I’m very please with the purchase and would recommend
