Project X is ready. Please read below for full details.
Instructions at bottom of page
Check Back Soon for Updates.
So we have the first Prototype for Minestation Project X, As we get asked for this worldwide the first thing we wanted to do was make it flatpack to reduce shipping. The base, Front and sides are held together by allen key bolts. This allows a very quick assembly and also reduces shipping damages. The other great thing about being flatpacked is you can completely remove the rear panel giving easy access to motherboard and Psu replacements without having to remove cards.
The rear Open part of the panel as shown in the motherboard section will now be closed on the next Prototype as it's no longer required for access to riser cards.
Currently not painted we will be able to paint these to customer choice, the default colors will be black and red but other colors will be made available.
The Supporting bars for Gpu have been Beefed up and made wider, giving a lot more support for transit on built systems.
Where currently Fan grills need to be purchased we will incorporate these into the front panel.
USB 2 current front panel will be upgraded to USB3.
Update 18th December.
We are getting close to the final product, Each side , front and back are screwed together with an allen key screw, Very Quick and simple, as you can now remove the complete rear panel we have removed the hole at rear and added standard I/O configuration.
Supporting bars for cards have been beefed up. Front Grill are now cut from metal to keep hands safe from fans.
Update 4th January.
We are just waiting the packing company to produce a box for the parts - this should be week 2 January - We will then produce the first batch of 200 units. Estimated production ready to ship Feb 7th 2018.
Update 9th January.
Flatpack box sample is made. Next Step Production and Paint.
Finished Product - Production Started 200 Units - Order online soon from Feb 7th.
Add Sides and front panel with allen key screws
Add base (Slide on top of side and screw from below)
Add Rear Panel (Note Edges go outside Side Panels)
Add USB - Again using Allen key
Step 5 - Fit Motherboard using Allen Screw and Plastic Washer - Also a good time to add a Psu .
Note We support 6 screws for ATX motherboard - Some boards have more fitting points but are not required.
Once Psu and motherboard are fitted it's a good idea to check the best position for the support bars.
Finally after Gpu's are fitted you can add the Wide top retention bar which also keep the chassis rigid.
